NVR-960POE contains 4 PoE IP cameras which adopts weatherproof (IP66) design to withstand extreme weather conditions, and it's suitable for both indoor/outdoor surveillance applications. This camera adopts progressive scan CMOS image sensor from Aptina to capture motion images without blur, delivering 1.3 megapixel resolution detailed images at 25/30fps. This camera is equipped with 3.6mm fixed lens to provide you wide angle monitoring, and its inside 36pcs infrared LED illuminators enable it can work under low light environment, its IR range reaches up to 30 meters.
Included 1 set of 4 channel network video recorder which has capability to record/playback video in 1280x960 resolution at 25/30fps, support multiply recording modes and dual streaming technology for giving you great flexibility. It has VGA and HDMI video output interface, fully work with your HD-TV.
This 4CH NVR kit includes: 1 set 4CH NVR with 4 separate Ethernet PoE ports, it can support 1 SATA HDD (max.6TB); 4 high definition 960P IP security cameras with 3-axis bracket, and 4 bundles 20M Ethernet cables.

How to setup Internet Protocol (IP) camera system?
Thanks to latest IP technology, setup a complete IP camera system can't be easier, a simple IP camera system only includes one or several IP cameras which are installed around your property. Typically, user can choose two solutions: 1. Using the IP cameras + video management software (VMS); 2. Using the IP cameras + network video recorder.
IP camera + VMS can allow users to setup a complete IP surveillance system with minimum budget, since almost IP cameras come with free video management software. In IP surveillance system, IP camera is responsible for broadcasting video, and using the installed software in your PC, user can record/playback video footage through VMS. Some of VMS can allow user manage hundreds of IP cameras at same time.
IP camera + NVR can allow user to setup a professional IP camera system with moderate budget. Network video recorder can record and playback the video streaming from IP cameras. Different from normal PC, NVR has embedded Linux OS, which is dedicated for video recording and management. The video footage or data will be recorded on its HDD.
Each of solutions have cons and pros. IP camera + VMS is suitable for home residential surveillance applications. Easy to setup and low cost are its advantages. I have ordered this kit on last week, and today I receive it from DHL. Different from other cheap NVR kit, I was impressed by how well it was packaged. Opened the package box, all the stuffs were placed in three layers. One mini NVR with its power supply, four PoE IP cameras in in second layer and Ethernet cables and CDs are under the last layer. All the IP cameras and NVR are placed into air bubble plastic packing bag which can give protection from any damage during transportation.
Next, I plugged all these four cameras to the Mini NVR (please note all the PoE IP cameras only with Ethernet port, no DC power connector), and switched on the NVR, and login NVR, I could see all four cameras were working with sharp images. Overall, the system is decent, and the system was exactly as advertised.

What are the advantages of IP camera system compared to traditional surveillance systems?
The IP camera system has many advantages including:
1. Remotely Access: Each cameras can work standalone, have built-in web server for remotely access from anywhere.
2. Reduced Cost: The installation of IP camera is much more flexible as it's based on the existing or new local network infrastructure, through either wired or wireless connection. Network video recorder isn't necessary for IP camera systems, there are many advanced Video Management Software (VMS) for user selection. The video footage can be stored in hard drive of a PC in the local network or on a remote PC.
3. Great expansion flexibility: CCTV system can't be extended easily; IP camera system can allow expanding without investing in new equipment.

Bought this kit to test, overall performance is good. It's very easy to install, plug-and-play, the image quality is also really high definition. Happy with this model, the only issue with this kit (NVR-720P kit) is, if for some reason the power supply to the camera failed, there is no way of supplying a separate 12V adaptor for the camera, like most IP camera does, since it has only one cable with RJ45

The included 4-channel NVR has 4 independent Ethernet ports can support both data and power transmission. Hence, the kit doesn't require using the router/switch and injector. Regarding to the remote view for the IP cameras, they are still be accessible via PCs as long as they are in the same local network.
Well, you can buy two 4-channel kits, then you will have a 8-channel kit. Certainly you can customize the kit as you like. The remote view App is AEeye, it's available for both Android and iOS smartphones and tablets.

1. Do you have a system supports 4-megapixel resolution?
We don't have a 4-megapixel PoE camera kit, however you can customize such kind of kit by selecting the 4-megapixel PoE cameras and the NVR from us. The reason is we reckon that 1.3MP and 2MP camera systems are the best deal for the most users. 1.3MP and 2MP video resolution is quite clear, the system can cater the needs of most video surveillance applications.
2. What are languages does this system support?
This system is a multilingual system can support Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, English, Dutch, French, German, Hebrew, Italian, Kazak, Persian, Polish, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish, Thai, Korean, Czech, Turkish, Hungarian, Romanian, Bulgarian.
3. After connecting to the monitor, the monitor doesn’t show the image.
As default, the NVR will output 1080p60Hz resolution video via VGA/HDMI ports. Therefore, the minimum resolution requirement of your monitor is 1080P. However, users can login the system to lower the resolution, the minimum supported resolution is 800*600.
4. Successfully added cameras, but NVR shows warning sign instead of camera images.
When firstly running the NVR, users need to choose the correct stream resolution in setup wizard. The selected resolution should match or higher than the resolution of connected cameras.
5. I could not access the NVR system locally.
The PoE NVR has NIC 1 and NIC 2 network cards, the default NIC 1 is for data switching between the NVR and network cameras, while the NIC 2 is for data switching between the NVR and your router. Making sure you type the right (NIC 2) IP address of the NVR.
6. What is the maximum length between cameras and the NVR?
The NVR complies IEEE802.3af standard, the maximum length between cameras and the NVR is approximate 90 meter (250ft).
7. What should I choose between WiFi kits and PoE kits?
Overal, we recommend users to choose PoE camera systems. Wireless or Wi-Fi system can connect to the NVR through the Wi-Fi signals, therefore can avoid running Ethernet cables. But the Wi-Fi camera system has a major limitation that all the cameras and the NVR should be installed within the Wi-Fi coverage. Although Wi-Fi cameras can connect to the router/NVR wirelessly, they still need to use individual power adapters.
PoE camera systems can simplify the installation, simply running the Ethernet cables between cameras and the NVR, the system will can work, the PoE range reaches up to 90 meter thus can be attached with a great number of cameras. Lastly, the PoE system can provide a more reliable connection when comparing with the Wi-Fi system.
