Arecont Vision 180° Panoramic View IP Camera AV20185DN-HB

Arecont Vision AV20185DN-HB is a 20 megapixel day&night 180° panoramic view IP camera. This camera consists of four individual 5.0 megapixel IP camera modules, and utilizing Arecont Vision's unique image sensing technology, combining four images into one panoramic view image through its software algorithm. In real testing, the camera can deliver high quality images with good low illumination performance. Furthermore, it is easy to install and use.

Four unique design for panoramic view applications

Four lens: Being equipped with four individual lens is the obvious feature for AV20185DN-HB panoramic view IP camera. It's a 96°wide viewing angle 6.2mm lens (Iris: F1.6, manual focus), through using four individual lens to capture images, then combining four images to one panoramic 180°image through software algorithm.

20 MP: Each of camera modules has one 1/2.5" 5 megapixel progressive scan CMOS image sensor which delivers 2560 (H) x 1920 (V)@11fps, maximum 10240 (H) x 1920 (V)@3.5fps ultra high definition video streaming, the total resolution is 65 times than a standard HD IP camera.

IP66 Ingress Rate: This model adopts full-sealed design, comes with an vandal-resistant dome cover, supports anti-tamper, and weather-proof, aluminum structure design allows camera to provide reliable performance for both indoor & outdoor applications.

Intact Structure: This IP camera supports PoE, DC24V, AC24V several different power supply methods; also included screws for wall mounted or ceiling installation; internal has 3-Axis rotation frame, ventilation fan, heater module...etc.

HD Quality + Image Stitching

Image Quality: Since this camera delivers 5.0 megapixel x4 HD images with inefficient fps, the motion objects may not display smoothly, but image quality is very high, and with vivid color. In order to further test its image performance, we make the camera to view the resolution testing card, through measurement, we concluded that its horizontal and vertical resolution reaches up to 1400TVL, edge resolution reaches up to 900TVL, gray-scale level is around 9, 10 levels; changing the card to color reproduction testing card, we found that its overall color has been reproduced accurately.

Image stitching: This camera support live view through PC software and IE browser. After login its PC software, we can find viewing grid quick-icons on software's top toolbar, user can choose single view, 4 split view, 9 split view, 2+8, 1+7, 1+12, 4 images stitching panoramic view, 2+2 images stitching view, full screen view and more viewing modes. Additionally, user can use the mouse select interest area to zoom in, rotate...etc ePTZ function. Since it has embedded with advanced algorithm, you may not realize that the panoramic image consists of four individual images.

Intelligent Image Quality Adjustment

This camera support resolution combination function, it can reduce the resolution to get higher fps, for example: 4 images resolution combination 5120(H)×960(V)@ 13fps, single image resolution 1280(H)×960(V)@ 27fps. Additionally, it supports AGC and panoramic view brightness balance function. In real test, under H.264 codec setting, 4 lens watches different scenes, illumination is different, in image stitching viewing mode, through smart adjustment by its algorithm, the panoramic view image color and resolution, brightness keep intact, while camera restores to single lens view mode, the image change to its optimum status.

In order to test its network control capability, we set 2Mbps for each of channels, through measurement, we found its real time bitrate is 5.42 - 7.28Mbps, the surge value is 12Mbps. Its video latency is also good, in single view mode, its video delay time is 170-340ms; 4 images panoramic view mode, its video delay time is 250-310ms.

Excellent Low Illumination

AV20185DN-HB's each of lens modules has one IR-CUT filter. On panoramic view mode, 4 camera modules can switch to B/W mode simultaneously. For testing its low illumination performance, we put the camera into dark box, when the illumination is 10 Lux, image noise slightly emerged, we continue reducing the illumination, the camera switches to B/W mode when the illumination value is 6Lux, the overall image is clean; while gradually decreasing of illumination, the camera automatically turn on AGC function, increasing the brightness, until illumination reduced to 0.9Lux, image noise appears. Although under 0.01 - 0.001Lux illumination condition, the camera still can capture images, thus its low illumination performance is excellent.

In addition to above mentioned function, this camera is also very easy to use, and flexible for different surveillance applications; meanwhile, it supports motion detection, in real test, we found that it's very sensitive to small pixel changes.
