It’s noted that these NVRs only work with IP video streams, they don’t have physical video inputs (BNC) to connect with AHD/HDCVI/HD-TVI security cameras.

1# Triple decoding H.265/H.264/MJPEG supported

The new network video recorders support triple video compression standard. It can accept video streams from your existing H.264 or H.265 IP security cameras. Owning this recorder enables your IP video surveillance system to be a unified industrywide system that is as future-proof as possible.

These NVRs are based on reputable Hisilicon 4K SoC – Hi3798MV200 which adopts ARM Quad-core architecture and has a Mali-450 GPU built-in, a powerful HiVXE 2.0 video engine is embedded into this processor to offer multimedia playback in various video standards (offer maximum 4K 60fps 10-bit H.265, or 4K 30fps H.264/MJPEG decoding capability). Hisilicon Hi3789M V200 was released in 2016, despite being used in IP security NVRs, this SoC is a new cheaper SoC from Hisilicon for 4K TV Boxes.

2# 4K 12-megapixel resolution video inputs

Why 4K is important? Up to 4K 12-megapixel resolution, it bring you an impressive video surveillance performance that not only enable a single IP camera to cover a wider area, but also provide high clarity image even after being digitally magnified. The image resolution is selectable from HD to 4K UHD, the entire supported resolution range including 12-megapixel, 8-megapixel, 4-megapixel, 3-megapixel, 1080p (2-megapixel), 720p (1-megapixel), this offers a great flexibility to support from standard HD resolution to Ultra HD resolution security cameras.

The NVRs are equipped with one HDMI port, this HDMI video port has the capability to transmit video and audio data, while the supported video resolution can reach up to 4K ultra high definition. These NVRs don’t have VGA ports, please make sure you have a 1080p HDTV monitor with a HDMI port.

3# Up to 2 hard drives max. 8TB storage

Intending to provide sufficient video storage capacity, these NVRs offer two SATA ports, can be installed with 2 pieces 3.5” size desktop/surveillance HDDs, and each HDD’s capacity size can be 4TB. The verified/tested compatible HDDs including Seagate Barracuda (ST500DM002, ST3500413AS, ST1000DM003, ST2000DM001, ST3000DM001, ST4000DM000) and Western Digital (WD5003ABX, WD10EZEX, WD2002FAEX, WD4001FAEX, WD30PURX, WD4001FYYG), as well as Samsung ST500DM005, Toshiba DT01ACA300.

4# Robust ONVIF compliant NVR

Object counting can automatically count the number of object within monitored area, for instance, it can calculate how many customers inside your grocery store. Users can use the mouse to draw a region, once an object enters or leaves the region, will trigger an alarm. Drawing a virtual line to protect the perimeter, once the virtual line is breached, users get notified or respond to the alarm with user-defined actions (sending email alerts, recording video, sending alarm signal via Alarm I/O).
