2.0 megapixel AHD camera - NVP2440H/2441H

NVP2440H/2441H are newly developed chip-set to its AHD portfolio. Similar to its predecessor (NVP2430H/NVP2431H), NVP2440H/2441H can work with progressive scan CMOS image sensor to delivery up to 2.0 megapixel (1920x720p) full HD resolution images with impressive image quality.

AHD vs HD-CVI what's difference between them?

Since the popularity of CMOS image sensor, the traditional analog video surveillance is undergoing tremendous transformation. More and more security camera manufacturers launch new high definition analog solutions, which are, HD-SDI, HD-CVI, HD-TVI, and now HD-AHD. All of them can deliver 720P/1080P high definition images, and transmitting the video over traditional coaxial cable. HD-SDI cameras and HD-SDI DVR are the most expensive HD analog equipment among them, which is the main reason HD-SDI technology doesn't widely used in HD analog surveillance system. Compared with HD-SDI, the cameras based on other three technologies are very competitive.

Analog HD Solution: 960H AHD HDCVI HDTVI HDSDI

Video security system becomes so cheap nowadays. Currently, we have many HD solutions to allow user setup a complete HD video surveillance system. The latest solutions including 960H, AHD, HDCVI, HDTVI, as well as HDSDI.

960H is released and promoted by Sony, who is the leader in past traditional video surveillance technology. These cameras are based on Sony 960H image sensor and Effio DSP can deliver maximum over 700 tv lines resolution. Some camera manufacturers put the 800 tv lines on camera's tag & its specification.

Introduction to AHD Cameras and DVRs

During old traditional surveillance system's upgrading and replacing, can't balance between achieving high definition surveillance and combining old traditional analog system become headache for users. In standard analog surveillance system, 960H is the highest resolution, to achieve much higher resolution becomes impossible mission for traditional surveillance system since its limitation from its technology.

If adopts all high definition (HD) IP camera, the entire system need to replace, this will not only generate high labor cost, but also significantly increased the project budget.

What's the advantage of AHD camera?

AHD (Analog High Definition) is new HD solution, AHD technology can transmit video signal over traditional coaxial cable up to 500 meters; it adopts advanced Y/C signal separation and analog signal filtering technology, which can effectively reduce color noise, and with better image reproduction. Compared with traditional analog cameras, AHD technology has significant improvement on imaging. Similar to IP camera, AHD's maximum resolution can reach up to 1080P.
