D-WDR vs WDR vs BLC technology

Talking about the wide dynamic range ?WDR), we have seen it everywhere in security camera's description, but what's wide dynamic range? Today we are going to explain three different wide dynamic range technologies.

IP Camera Basics: WDR vs HDR, What's the Difference?

WDR stands for wide dynamic range, it’s conventional imaging technology by merging multiple frames that shoot by different exposure together to create single frame, we usually call this type of WDR as the multiple exposure-type WDR.

What is WDR for CCTV Cameras?

Wide Dynamic Range(WDR) Technology uses two shutter speeds in alternative video fields, high and normal, and combines these two fields into one frame. It allows every detail to be captured accurately even if one portion is bright while other portions are dark. As a result, combined fields yield a frame of high quality images. Below is a comparison of camera technologies with its video images of Regular, Backlight Compensation (BLC), and Wide Dynamic Range.
