960H security cameras and sony Effio DSP
960H security cameras means the security camera can deliver analogue high resolution images at 700 tv lines or 960x480 for NTSC, 960x582 for PAL tv system. As one of leader in developing and manufacturing CCD image sensors and DSP, Sony lunched a new series "Effio" DSP for security market since 2009. As result of inexpensive price, now 960H camera replace other analogue cameras as the main trend in security market.
What are the advantages of 960H camera ?
The obvious benefits of 960H camera is it can deliver highest resolution images at 700 tv lines in analogue cctv systems. The 960H resolution is 34% larger than D1 resolution, and is 500% larger than CIF resolution.
960H resolution is 16:9 resolution, this makes the 960H cctv system can suitable for wide screen surveillance monitors or TVs without distorting the images quality.
Except providing high resolution images, now the 960H security cameras offers more advanced features such as wide dynamic range, high light compensation, E-zoom, slow shutter, with super low noise and steady performance at night surveillance.

Difference between Super HAD II CCD and Ex-view HAD II CCD
Super HAD II and Ex-view HAD II CCD both from Sony, it's the main CCD image sensor in all analogue CCTV cameras.
The "Super HAD II CCD" is a version of Sony's high performance CCD HAD (Hole-Accumulation Diode) sensor with realized sensitivity (typical) of 1000mV or more per 1µm2 (Color: F5.6/ BW: F8 in 1 s accumulation equivalent.)
The "Ex-view HAD II CCD" is also from Sony's high performance CCD image sensor, with advantages of high sensitivity and low illumination features. The lux rating of the EX-View CCD is two times better than the SONY "Super HAD II" CCD for both day & night surveillance.
