Dahua DVR/NVR Password Recovery/Reset

If you happen to lost the password of your Dahua DVR or can't remember it, you can contact the Dahua technical support team or you can use the software to generate a temporary password which allows you to access the DVR instantly. If you firstly use the Dahua DVR, but don’t know the default account info, please try the following default accounts:

• admin/admin admin/123456 (master account of local and network accessing)
• 888888/888888 (local administrator)
• 666666/666666 (restricted user)
• default / default (hidden user)
• root / vizxv  (account when connecting via telnet)

If the above stated accounts don’t work, you can perform time reset by removing the battery on the motherboard of the DVR, steps are:

1. Take out the button battery from DVR
2. Connects it with a monitor, then turn it on
3. After removing the battery, the date and time will reset to factory default year 2000. Then use the account - admin, password – 668648 or 000000000000 to login.

After login, please modify the device’s password immediately, because the temporary password is only valid for a day.
