HD IP camera hardware and software technologies

If you are new in video surveillance industry, you maybe not familiar with some glossaries of security video surveillance system. Especially, since the rapid development of network technology, there are more and more new hardware and software technologies have been implemented into products. When I was surfing Internet, I found this glossary table. It maybe helpful to some people.

PoE

Built-in Power over Ethernet (IEEE 802.3af) makes installation easier, cheaper and more secure since Power over Ethernet can take advantage of UPS (uninterrupted power supply), which provides back-up power in case of a power failure.

Water Proof Cable

The cable with water proof design will provide high reliable performance without any defect from a bad weather condition.

Micro-stepping Technology

Due to the Micro-stepping technology, one step angle is divided by 256. Accordingly, high accuracy as well as ultra low sound noise (under 60dB) can be achieved. Micro-stepping technology enables ultra low speed down to 0.05°/s for high zoom operations. Utilizing this technology, pan and tilt motion can be controlled with 1/256 finer step resolution and accordingly lower noise and vibrations. As a result, ultimate low speed without fluctuations as well as ultra high speed without jerks can be obtained.

90° Tilting

The 3 axis mechanism and sophisticated bubble dome design support wider tilting angle up 90 degrees. For various applications, this provides more choices and options in installation.

HD-SDI

SDI is the transmitting technology through the 75Ohm coaxial cable by serializing the video signal that is not compressed. The video signal that is transmitting through SDI is a kind of digital signal. Therefore, contrary to the analog signal which is influenced by the deformation of video signal and the distance of transmit, it is possible to transmit the video signal without limitation of distance and deformation of signal through Equalization and Reclocking of the video signal at intervals.

Using the state of art video compression engine, real time HD video streams of 1080i/720p can be delivered for recording and monitoring.

Local SD Card Backup

Some important sequence of still images can be stored in the SDHC memory card. This action can be configured to work with pre-post- alarm event or a given interval.

Auto Focus

Built-in auto-focus lens makes installation easier, installer don't need to adjust the focus manually.

P-iris technology helps to improve the image quality with regards to iris contrast, resolution and depth of field and keeps the best image quality at different environment of light source. It is not only particularly effective for blurred image when the light source is to strong but also allows clear view on objects from near to far from the camera.

4D Gimbal Mechanism (IR LED Rotation)

The 4D gimbal mechanism and sophisticated bubble dome design support wider tilting angle up 90 degrees and further with IR tilting 75 degrees without IR reflection. For various applications, this provides more choices and options in installation.

96x Zoom control (Optical 8x, Digital 12x)

Zoom capability with 8x optical range should be the uniqueness and power of the camera with best optimized with high power LED(IR) equipped. This self-developed 8x zoom module work with outstanding AF(Auto Focus) function to be operated with user need to find the object in distance perfectly in day and night mode.

Triple codec, Simultaneous Multi Streaming

Triple H/W codec enables to transmit max 3 independent streams with different settings for different requirements. Therefore, it is possible to monitor video remotely using H.264 and transmit to Network Video Recorder as well. Also, additional MJPEG can be delivered for Mobile devices such as Smart Phon or Tablet PC

Multi codec, Simultaneous Multi Streaming

Dual H/W codec enables to transmit multi streams with different settings for different requirements. Therefore, it is possible to combine seamless remote video monitoring using H.264 with simultaneous transmission of high quality MJPEG to Network Video Recorder.

Motion Adaptive 3D Digital Noise Reduction

The DNR function eliminates noise the generating a distinct and clear image. The technology utilizes both and adaptive 2D filter reducing noise in the brightness of the image and an adaptive 3D Filter reducing noise caused by movement providing a distinct and clear image under even most demanding of lighting conditions. These filters are combined with DNle technology. The result is that the camera series support Motion Adaptive DNR function that removes noise and greatly reduces motion blur.

Auto map & Power PTZ

After installing PTZ, make camera to generate the Scenery The Auto-map is the easiest way to control the PTZ in an intuitive manner. If you click the Auto-map popup button in the web viewer of IP cameras, the auto map window will appear as shown in the video left. Power PTZ is inspired by real 3-Axis Joystick. You can decide PT direction by right clicking the image and change the zoom in out by scrolling mouse wheel. The PT speeds are proportional to how much you deviate mouse from the center. Using this function, control of PTZ is done in an instinctive manner.

Digital Image Stabilizer

Since PTZ cameras is frequently subjected to external vibrations due to winds or infrastructures. Such an low frequency vibration is compensated using built in DIS function.

Day & Night by ICR

For increased sensitivity of image sensor efficiently, a mechanical actuator can shift infrared (IR) Cut filter to disengaged from image path automatically in the low light environment.

Virtual Joystick on the Image

Virtual Joystick is inspired by real 3-Axis Joystick. You can decide PT direction by right clicking the image and change the zoom in out by scrolling mouse wheel. The PT speeds are proportional to how much you deviate mouse from the center. Using this function, control of PTZ is done in instinctive manner.

Smart Focus (Motorized focus)

Built-in auto-focus lens makes installation easier, installer do not need to adjust the focus manually.
