Introduction to ingress protection (IP)
The ingress protection rate is a two digital number established by the IETC (International Electro Technical Commission). This rate is widely used to provide an accurate ingress protection rating to any kinds of electronic equipment. This rate includes with two-digits, the first digit represents the protection from ingress of solid objects. The second digit represents the protection from ingress of liquid water.
