How to install/setup an outdoor alarm monitoring system?

Today, we usually buy and install outdoor security cameras if we want to protect our property. Is it the only way or the most effective way? Well, probably not. If you consult with a security expert, she/he we will recommend you an integrated security solution that consists of a couple of cameras and a burglar/intrusion alarm system. Such kind of system can deter intruders, notify users, and do video verification.

In past year, we spend thousand dollars to buy an system uses multiple sensors to secure the property. Nowadays, technology has evolved significantly. Solar-powered perimeter photoelectric beam can secure perimeter of your house, hence deter intruders before they break-in. By using the product, you can setup an inexpensive yet effective outdoor alarm monitoring system that it’s super easy to install, free-maintenance.

  • High rate false alarm dues to indoor activity

Solar powered outdoor alarm system advantages:

  • Cost-effective and cover an entire area/building
  • Super easy to install, no wiring, completely wire-free
  • No need to use indoor sensors
  • No need to replace batteries
  • Get notified before intruder breaks-in
  • Low false alarm rate, pet-immune/environment-friendly

Why say goodbye to monitored alarm service?

“By subscribing home alarm monitoring service, you will get a FREE alarm system and enjoy free professional installation.” This sounds great, but it requires you to sign a long-term monitoring contract, and pay thousand dollars per year to use the system. Security companies act as intermedia to handle alarm signals, they will contact proper agency to dispatch emergency personal if alarm is verified. The service is great, but it’s too costly to many people.

No need to pay recurring fee, just pay a little on buying the equipment. The system even supports Do-it-yourself installation, it’s wire-free.

How outdoor photoelectric beam works?

Just like physical fence, outdoor photoelectric beam can create a fence around your building. It consists of a transmitter and a receiver. The detector utilizes active infrared technology to deter moving objects. The transmitter has an IR LED to emit Infrared ray and the receiver is made for signal reception. Therefore when both of them working, it will create an invisible barrier. As products have built-in optical lens, the Infrared can travel a long distance up to 300 meters. This features make photoelectric beam become the perfect choice for motion detection.

Muti-beam technology has been implemented to ensure detection accuracy. It set off an alarm when both beam (Infrared ray) is interrupted simultaneously. Our solar-powered photoelectric beam sensor is waterproof, it’s suitable for both indoor and outdoor installation. It has built-in rechargeable battery, to let product continuously working even encountering cloudy/rainy days. So comparing with PIR motion sensors, photoelectric beam can cover a large area while provide reliable detection no false alarm.

How to install outdoor perimeter alarm sys?

Installing our solar powered photoelectric beam sensors you don’t need to hire a professional. You can install it by yourself. Before installing it, it should be noted that solar powered photoelectric beam can not work standalone, it should work with wireless alarm panel. The first step is adding it to your new or existing wireless alarm panel.

1. Enrolling Photoelectric beam sensor on alarm panel (Wison, X10)
Running Wisen app on smartphone, logon your account, tapping [Set] > [Zone Setting], scroll down and find which zone number you want sensor to be enrolled. Tapping [Study] on zone attribute page, now system will enter into zone enrollment status.

Now connecting the solar panel to receiver, the receiver will be turned on then emit alarm signal. Once app shows “Success”, sensor enrollment is successful.

2. Install wireless photoelectric beam detector

Precautions for installation of wireless photoelectric beam detector:

  1. Never install product at inclined angle
  2. Make sure no obstacles between the detector
  3. Avoid installing product near to strong radio source
  4. Installing product in rated range

Using included bracket to fix the base onto the wall or stainless steel stand.

Insert the solar panel to the bracket, adjusting its angle to ensure it collects sunlight as much as possible.

Open the beam detector, connecting solar panel to detector to let it work.

Align the transmitter and receiver, you can adjust optical component horizontally or vertically to ensure the receiver and transmitter are in the same horizontal level, can precisely transmit and receive IR. Once the alignment is correct, the GOOD signal indicator will turn on. The next step is to do test, walk across the beam to test if it will set off the alarm.

Please note the maximum transmission distance between photoelectric beam and wireless alarm panel is 200 meters (open space environment). Making sure you install detector or alarm panel within signal reception range.
