Low illumination effect

Put the DH-IPC-HF8281E IP camera into dark box, then gradually decrease the brightness of box, the image keeps very clean and crystal during whole process, noise is well suppressed. When illumination decreased to 4.89Lux, image comes with slight noise, but doesn't effect the overall picture quality. Continue decrease the illumination to 1.9Lux, the camera automatically switch to B/W (night) mode, when reached to 0.12Lux, even there is noise, the image still keep good quality. When illuminometer indicates 0Lux (0.001-0.01Lux), the camera still can see the object outline. Besides its 0.0002-0.01Lux low illumination performance, it has 3D noise reduction feature. 3DNR gives extra additional noise suppression for offering clean images.

Advanced back light compensation (BLC)

If you are quite satisfied with its low illumination performance, the BLC feature won't let you down too. Making the camera target at tester, when enable the BLC feature, the overall image improved significantly. The BLC increases the brightness of image, also added resolution for background. By the way, it also supports HLC which can anti-strong light to provide good images.

Smart video analysis and alarm

This camera support ROI/SVC intelligent coding function. ROI can allow user to capture high resolution images only for the selected region. SVC can allow camera work properly in low bandwidth network, utilizing selective drop frames to avoid black screen phenomenon. Furthermore, it supports advanced video analysis including face tracking, object missing alarm, vision deviation detection, climbing fence alarm, audio detection, all these can be integrated with alarm output.

Note: Scalable Video Coding (SVC) is the name for extension of the H.264/MPEG-4 video compression standard.
Region Of Interest coding (ROI), it's a function supported by camera to enables a non-uniform distribution of the image quality between a selected region (the ROI) and the rest of the image.
